In the confusion and the aftermath, You are my signal fire.
I was just about to hit the Publish button on this, when tiew’s blog finished loading. And boy oh boy, was I traumatised. :S so I had to add this lil paragraph here. She’s talking about her hair, which I am not surprised at, but what shocked me was I was talking about My hair in that teeny lil paragraph down there. So basically I had to modify my post. Zzzzzzzzzzz.
My hairdresser, I suppose, didn’t hear me right when I said I wanted my hair thinner, like please shred it with the hair razor you always use. She trimmed it at the ends as usual, and just when i thought she was gonna pick up the razor, she took the waxy-used-in-penang-thingy and started off saying I’ll help you shape it a little hah. Well since I’ve been letting you take care of my hair since forever, might as well let you do what you want.
Mana I tahu wor, she was practically straightening it unpermanently, I can’t say it doesn’t look thinner, but hey, It’s not permanent. She told me it’ll wash off after a few times and i’m like then whats the point of you doing that? But I didn’t say it, she was an adult and she’s been doing my hair for such a long time so I let her carry on. Dude, what for?? LoL.
So I looked like this for a day. I wasn’t camwhoring (i don’t camwhore alone la you have a problem with that? =P), my brother was holding the camera while i was talking to him, i feel the need to point this out, as my latest post on waxy’s tagboard was ‘Don’t camwhore so much laaa’.
After One day I couldn’t stand it anymore. It was freaking hot kay. Plus it didn’t look like a Zowy-ish hairstyle. I daresay it looked Waxy-ish. about 50% of her straightness. Ewwwww.
Thank god I found a saviour. A half broken comb-like thingy which pushes your fringe back. So I look like the top photo now. =) which is not half as bad. At least I feel cooler.
Diverting the topic, there wasn’t and isn’t much to do at home. other than the fact that I finished coffee, cinema, fairygodmother tycoon, virtual villagers 1&2, diner dash 3, there was no accomplishment whatsoever. Nada. But at least it’s zero stress here. And the food. man the food. hahah.
I was driving back after dropping Sien at Queensbay today, and heard a new song on Hitz’s School of Rock. Right there and then knew it was Snow Patrol. Therefore after googling and ares-ing, I have Signal Fire. It’s a new track on Spidey 3’s all new soundtrack. Too bad i can’t find any of the others like Killers and Jet, but I’ll give it a few more days. Should have seeds after that. So it’s more towards the path of believing that the best music comes from soundtracks. For me at least. Remembering Little Wonders and Another believer from Robinsons, A Thousand Miles from White Chicks, Chasing Cars from Grey’s, Way back into Love from Music & Lyrics, Ronan Keating’s classic from Notting Hill, the ever so classic I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing in Armageddon, and the list sure goes on. Not to say if you’re not from a soundtrack you suck, it’s just if you watch the movie it gives more depth to it and all. bottomline here, If you like Snow patrol as much as i do, i think you’d like signal fire very much as well.
And btw, university of Melbourne came into the picture. Quite suddenly i might say, but it seems like a good alternative. Long story. No elaboration needed unless requested. Lol. Peace.
a P.S. Although I’m no Christian or anything, I’d just like to include a prayer to my God, any kind of god, as when i pray i think it’s called a prayer too. So God, please look after my eldest auntie, she’s hospitalized with toxic in her blood and swollen lungs due to a disease i was told vaguely as it’s linked to the skin too. I’ll remember to add it to the list of noted disease to read up when I get to kay. Thanks for everything.
